I bought you early this past season and it seemed like all I could do to keep you alive through the summer. Whether scorching heat, too much sun, not enough sun, too much water, not enough water, you just refused to thrive. So I stuck you in our tiny greenhouse for the winter and got busy making a person….

It’s been at least 2 months since I’ve popped my head in the greenhouse and today, with a sunny afternoon and temps in the 60s, I looked in and lo and behold! My lemon tree is covered in tiny flower buds. I’m reading conflicting reports about whether or not they need to be pollenated to actually bear fruit….but either way, I feel this bodes well for the ‘10 growing season at the shirley residence. Bring it.
